I recently discussed with a friend of mine about the perks of living alone. It reminded me of this great song I heard on Doctor Who TV show during a Christmas special.
It tells of a feeling that is common after a few weeks living on your own. The silence. We feel the need to hear someone's voice just to chat about random things. Then we wish to give up on those lonely weekends when there are no friends nearby.
But is not all sadness. Silence opens a room in the soul to be filled. Opens possibilities. And I'm on for possibilities.
I'll leave you now with the beautiful voice of Katherine Jenkins singing Abigail's Song. Lyrics also follow bellow.
When you're alone, silence is all you know.
When you're alone, silence is all you know
Let in the noise and let it grow.
When you're alone, silence is all you see
When you're alone, silence is all you'll be
Give me your hand and come to me.
When you are here, music is all around.
When you are near, music is all around.
Open your eyes, don't make a sound.
Let in the shadow, let in the shadow,
Let in the light of your bright shadow.
Let in the shadow, let in the shadow.
Let in the light of your bright shadow.
Let in the light.
Let in the light.
Let in the light of your sweet shadow.
When you're alone, oh,
Silence is all you know.
Silence is all,
Silence is all around.
Silence is all
Silence is all around
